About Turismo Oriental
Turismo Oriental has established itself as a key player in the integration of Peru’s southern macroregion, operating interprovincial routes that connect the country’s major southern cities, including Arequipa, Lima, Cusco, Juliaca, and Puno.
Turismo Oriental’s operational hub is the busy route linking the coast and highlands of Arequipa with the department of Puno. Its main itinerary covers the Arequipa–Juliaca–Puno route (and vice versa). By establishing a strategic commercial hub in Juliaca—the region’s largest financial and commercial center—located just before the city of Puno (on the shores of Lake Titicaca), the company ensures high passenger turnover and directly meets the constant mobility needs of the Altiplano population and tourists visiting the area.
Turismo Oriental operates with modern and sturdy interprovincial buses, designed to provide safety and comfort on this Andean journey. Its buses offer services ranging from the Semi-Sleeper to the Sleeper Bus categories. They feature reclining seats designed for rest, basic amenities such as functional portable restrooms, air conditioning, onboard monitors/TVs, Wi-Fi service, and USB ports for charging electronic devices.
In the “White City,” departures are handled from the Arequipa Bus Terminal, while in the highlands, they operate officially from the Juliaca Bus Terminal and the Puno Bus Terminal.
